ANNOUNCEMENTS

Hello Class of 1971,
I just wanted everyone to know about the decision that the Pampa School District has made about the Arch. If you have not heard, the arch that our class gave the school as a gift was taken down over a year ago for renovations at the stadium. I have been in contact with the members of the district, via phone, emails, and even made one trip to Pampa to discuss the arch. This is their decision. The old arch will take to much money to restore and replace, so a new one is to be built at the cost of $10,000. I find it hard to believe that it would cost more than $10,000 to repair the old one. Be that as it may, the district has asked if the Class of 1971 would be willing to help with the expense of the new arch. I think you should know that the cost of repairing and putting the arch back up was suppose to be budgeted in the renovation costs. I am at this time trying to find out will happen to the old arch. I hope that it has not already been destroyed. Let me know your thoughts
Linda West
