November 30, 2013 Linda Gail (Mortimer) Marsh : Palestine Herald-Press The Palestine Herald-Press Sat Nov 30, 2013, 12:01 AM CST Memorial services for Linda Gail Marsh, 60, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Evangelistic Temple with the Rev. Jason Harris and Chris Kenner officiating. Mrs. Marsh's wishes were to be cremated. She died Thursday Nov. 28th at Trucare Living Center after a lengthy battle with cancer. During this time, her faith and the love of family and friends sustained her. Linda was born Feb. 18, 1953, in Pampa, Texas to George and Earlene Mortimer. She graduated from Pampa High School and attended college in Amarillo, Texas. On Aug. 9, 1974, Linda married the love of her life, Mike Marsh, also of Pampa. After moving to Palestine, the family united with Evangelistic Temple where Linda worked in the nursery. As a pastime, Linda enjoyed fishing. She loved her grandchildren and spending time with her family. She was a generous and forgiving lady who saw the good in every person and every situation. She was always there for every family member's need. Mrs. Marsh was preceded in death by her father; niece, Amy Youree; uncles, Wayne Davidson, Harry Mortimer and Clarence Mortimer; aunts, Catherin Roland, Veenie Scanlin and Wynona Cathcart; and her grandmother, Anna Mortimer. Survivors include her husband, Mike; son, Jason Marsh (Jeri Lynn Kennedy Marsh); her mother, Earlene Mortimer of Keller, Texas; grandchildren, Tylen Braeden, Kaileigh and Cayden Marsh of her home; brothers, Dennis Mortimer (Linda) of Justin, Texas and Ronnie Mortimer (Linda) of New Maid, Texas; stepdaughter, Neely Procter Campbell and her husband Shawn of Lubbock; uncle, Reece Mortimer; brother-in-law, Rick Marsh (Kay Helms) of Elkhart; sister-in-law, Melody Youree (Doug) of Pampa; mother-in-law, Norene Marsh and father-in-law; Darrell Marsh, both of Pampa; other relatives and friends.
