On Saturday morning, January 28, 2012, Phyllis Swindle Fleetwood (class of 1971) passed away. Services are Tuesday morning @ 10:00 at Carmichael-Whatley funeral home. This was the announcement in the Amarillo paper: PAMPA — Phyllis Faye Swindle Fleetwood, 58, of Pampa died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Jimmye Cole of the Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.

Mrs. Fleetwood was born Feb. 22, 1953, in Pampa, to Tommie and Janie Swindle. She married Charles Fleetwood on April 8, 1976, in Pampa.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Jack Fleetwood of Round Rock and Chuck Fleetwood of Galveston; five stepdaughters; her mother, Janie Swindle of Pampa; two brothers, Tommy Swindle of Pampa and Donald Swindle of Hope, Ark.; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice of Pampa, 800 N. Sumner St., Pampa, TX 79065.

Sad to hear of the passing away of Phyllis Swindle Fleetwood. I do have one thing in common with Phyllis. Feb. 22, 1953 is my Birthday. As our paths crossed in High School I am sure our paths will cross again in Heaven!
