Bill died in a house fire in Lubbock. I believe he was 21. This was only a couple of years after he survived a bad car accident that very nearly killed him...but did change Bill's perspective on life dramatically. I still think of Bill and the friendship we had - which blossomed after his car accident. He was just a kid. He remains my friend. --John Davis, class of '72
