I had known Jimmy for a long time, but I really got to know him when he helped with our 30th reunion.  He was a fantastic guy.  All I can say is; whoever didn't get to know him, really missed out on a special person.  He was a wonderful person with a wonderful family.

George Seay

Jimmy Howeth was a close friend. We went to the same church. I knew his family. He was indeed a character. I was privileged to have been his friend! See you in Heaven Jimmy Howeth! Your brother in Christ Jesus---George Seay!

SERVICES: 1:00 PM Monday, December 1, 2003, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Jim Fox, pastor of the Hillcrest Baptist Church of Amarillo, and Rev. Richard Bartel, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church of Pampa, officiating.

BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors, with military honors accorded by U. S. Army personnel, Ft. Hood, Texas.

BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Howeth was born December 1, 1951 in Dumas. He graduated from Pampa High School in 1971 and graduated from Clarendon College in 1981 with an associate degree in real estate. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in South Korea during peace time. He married Yong Hei Pak on February 13, 1973 in Seoul, South Korea at the U. S. Embassy. He had been a resident of Pampa for 32 years. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and the Pampa Booster Club. He was a truck driver for Pampa Concrete Company for 13 years.

SURVIVORS: Wife: Yong Hei Howeth of the home. 3 Sons: John Wayne Howeth of Canadian, Jerry William Howeth and Jamie Wayne Howeth, both of Pampa. Mother: Bobby Jean Howeth of Pampa. 1 Sister: Shirley Jean Howeth of Pampa. He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Franklin Howeth.
