40^th Reunion

July 29^th and 30^th, 2001

Dear Classmates,

Once again we find ourselves wondering where the time has gone.  The years are passing faster and our time is becoming more valuable.  To this end, we are planning the biggest and best reunion that Pampa has ever had.  It is imperative that you respond to this ASAP.  We want to make sure that the “Class of 1971” has first choice in the available tickets.  Therefore we are setting a deadline date of May 1, 2011.

Beginning on July 29, 2011, we will have a MEET and GREET at the Pampa Chamber of Commerce meeting room.  Hamburgers and trimmings will be cooked and served by Hamburger Ed.  After eating and visiting with all our classmates, we will get in our cars and have a “Drive around the Drag night”.  We are going to include the Pampa Car Club and let everyone have a chance to admire all the old cars that are still around town.  If you decide you want to pull over and visit….we will have a parking lot secured for this.  The parking area for our visiting will be at the old “ Pampa Junior High School” lot.

Saturday morning at 9:00, we will meet at Pampa High School for donuts, coffee, juice and water.  We will have a tour of all the new renovations at the High School.  After the tour, we will have the 40^th class reunion picture taken in the commons area.  We want to make sure you all are there for the picture.  Della Moyer will be taking pictures for us and she is excellent at what she does.  She took the pictures at our 35^th reunion and they were the best we’ve ever had.  Pictures can be ordered directly from Della Moyer even if you are not in attendance.  Her prices are: $20.00 for 8x10 and $10.00 for 5x7.  She will also have a CD available for $20.00 and a DVD for $25.00. 

We will have a ceremony remembering our deceased classmates following the tour and pictures.  This ceremony will be held just outside the building. 

You will have “free” time afterwards to go to “The Coney” or drive around and check out  the changes to your old home town.  There are also places available at the hotels for gathering and visiting.

There will be a group of classmates meeting at the Plaza III restaurant (one of our supporters) around 5:00 if you would  like to eat full meal before the evening event.

We will meet again at the M. K. Brown Heritage room at 6:30.  We would like to have all our classmates present and accounted for before the crowd starts coming in for the BIG EVENT.    Set ups will be available.

All others will start showing up around 7:00 before the band starts playing at 7:30.  I believe that they will have four sets of songs ready for our pleasure and enjoyment.  They will take a break between sets so that they will be able to visit with all their friends as well.  They will be playing until 1:30  or 2:00 a.m.
